Hearing health is critical for seniors. While hearing aids themselves require a prescription, many hearing-related accessories and ear care products are covered by your OTC benefit.
Covered Hearing Products
- Hearing aid batteries — Size 10, 13, 312, and 675 batteries
- Ear wax removal kits — Debrox drops + bulb syringe
- Ear plugs — foam and silicone options for noise protection
- Hearing aid cleaning tools — brush kits, wax guards, drying containers
- Sound amplifiers — OTC hearing amplification devices (not hearing aids)
Note: Since 2022, OTC hearing aids are available without a prescription for mild-to-moderate hearing loss. Some MA plans cover these under separate benefits, not the OTC card.
