The OTC (Over-the-Counter) benefit is a quarterly allowance included in many Medicare Advantage plans. It lets you purchase health and wellness products — vitamins, pain relievers, first aid supplies, and more — at no cost to you.

How to Activate Your OTC Card

Receive your card — Most plans mail your OTC card with your welcome package after enrollment.

Activate online or by phone — Follow the instructions on the sticker attached to your card. Most plans require a quick activation call or online registration.

Start shopping — Use your card at approved retailers (Walmart, CVS, Walgreens) or order online through your plan's portal.

Don't Lose Your Benefits! OTC benefits reset every quarter and do NOT roll over. If you don't use your Q2 allowance by June 30, it's gone forever. Set a calendar reminder!
